Pirate Treasure

218_1828watchparade.jpg
The annual Greenwood Parade took place last night. The little one and I sat on the corner of what is normally a busy street and watched all the people go by.

Estella ate a lollypop and watched marching bands, cheerleaders, drill teams, businesses and of course the SeaFair Pirates. One very tough looking pirate came up to us with a scowl but extended his hand to the little one, giving her a toy ring. She was totally happy about that. We had quite a stash of candy by the end.

Just about every group involved was handing out candy. We shared some sweet tarts.

Silly Face

Morning is a time of great swings of mood from happy to sad to silly. I think this is silly.

Sandy Face

Some of the kids were throwing sand. After playing really hard in the sand, she came away with a lot of it on her. Here you can see the close up of the sand on her face.

Don't Run

I told her not to run on the deck of the ferry. The surface is like sandpaper, in order to keep good traction while wet. She ran anyway, showing off to a girls softball team. I shot this and ran after her.

Blue Estella

Estella, mama and I just got back from camping at Fort Flagler with a bunch of families from church (UPC). Having the kids all together for an extended period of time was great for them. Lots of kids learned to ride 2-wheeler bikes for the first time. We had fun at the beach and sang around the camp fire.

Back In The Saddle

test.JPG
I am finally getting back to writing and sharing photos through the magic of the world wide web. Here is a guick update of what is going on these days.

Currently Estella is sleeping. She went to bed well tonight, but has fought it lately. She suggests going for a walk and when I tell her it is too late, she says, "Go walk. It's okay, Daddy." She sometimes grabs your chin to make sure you are listening in instances like that. And she nods her head as if she is trying to coax you into going along with her plan. She has a new "tall" chair from IKEA she loves to sit on. She tells me, "My teeth hurtin'" and she wants to go next door to Lucy who has popsicles to share. She fights off most every attempt to brush the teeth, but eventually gives in. We painted our room blue and are in the midst of redecorating it with some suspended shelving, new desk and dresser. I just finished a big project at work. Robyn is due in 6 weeks. We are expecting a boy.
