You Will Not Know

You will not remember that at age 17 months you reach for your crib when it is nap time. Nor will you remember that you say "amal" for animal. You recognize Gordito's Mexican restaurant when we drive by and get upset that we don't stop. When we lay you down in your crib you scruntch up in a cozy position and let out a sigh. You boss the cats around, telling them "daw" for down. When you want to be picked up or read to you backup into me. Even at this young age you pretend to cry and sleep when we play.

You have fun with your little friends, always ready to give a hug when you see them.

You tell mumbly secrets in our ears and say "shh" a lot. You still only have 8 front teeth and barely one molar. You can't chew tough stuff very well. The other day it was real quiet in the kitchen where you were playing. I checked on you and you had a mouth full of cat food. When we count down - one, two, three! - you always say "two, two, ahhh!" You can match pitch to music quite well for your age.

You move around quick and I have to chase you these days.
You are super silly and a ton of fun.
