Cool Remodel

This is a very cool way to turn a 1940s "war box" house with little character into a lovely, interesting home that just looks fun. We call this the Jones House.

Walking Baby

She is very wobbly, but also very determined. Last Saturday she took her first couple steps. Since then she has gained better balance, notice the hand held high, and walks with confidence

She pulls to a stand next to a wall or furniture and now will venture out on her own. She nearly walked our whole entry sidewalk because she was so excited to see our little neighbor Lex.

There are still only two cute little teeth in her pretty little mouth.

New Camera

My old digital camera has taken its last photo. The focus mechanism has broken after 8000+ images have been taken. This camera was originally a wedding gift from a couple good friends. It is sad to see it break down, but it has served me well and started a nreat new hobby I quite enjoy.
I have researched for a couple days and found the replacement camera:

Almost every photo on this site was produced with my old Kodak DC280 2megapixel camera.

Tired Beach Baby

On the fourth of July, Estella played at the beach and wore herself out. She fell asleep in her stroller. You can see the little specs of sand still on her face. It usually takes a couple baths for it all to be washed off.

Baby Ferry

On the fourth we took the baby across the Puget Sound on a big ferry. She was impressed with it as it pulled up to the dock and quite excited to see all the water and the birds. She enjoyed scooting across the deck in the warm morning sun. At the beach in Kingston she dug and scooted and played with the dogs. When we first arrived she called out "dah!" very loudly for more than ten minutes trying to get the three dogs attention. She played with her buddy Maximilian but they both ended up not feeling well and we had to cut our visit short.
Later she ate pizza and played in a mini-pool. She has picked up a dance move, mimics coughing, knows her facial features, does the back-and-forth tongue thing with noise. She is very observant and seems quite teachable right now. I think I will start doing more baby sign.

Beach Baby

We had two great days at the beach this weekend. The tide was low, exposing lots of clean, sand which we used to make a turtle, along with clam shells and seaweed.
Check out the miniature Teva sandals on Estella. She always gets quite sandy at the beach. Usually it takes two or three baths to remove all the sand.
She is letting us put her down to sleep in her crib for the night without much fuss after a bath, five books and a few hugs.
