Shades Of Baby

We took a roadtrip over Presidents Day weekend to Spokane with baby and my sister MJ. While there we caught up with aunts and grandma Nanny, Estella's great-grandma. She had us stay with her and we watched some old home movies and Estella, who can now pull herself up to a standing position on Nanny's coffee table. We visited aunts and cousins and had a fabulous Sunday brunch courtsey of cousin Megan. Uncle Dave inspired us to get started with our home remodeling ideas. Anyhow, we had a lot of fun.
Started home after getting coffee at the Rocket Bakery in Millwood. Later, on the road, we stopped at our halfway hiking spot in vantage. It is a series of State Park trails through brushland and hills just up from the Columbia River gorge area. Excavated petrified trees all around the trails, so the area used to be heavily forested, and we found an entire deer skeleton next to the trail! This time the sun was out and the weather chilly and windy, but beautiful. We hiked 3+ miles to get Estella out of the car and then we were on our way.
