Growing Baby

Estella is growing so fast it is hard to recognize her in the morning, just kidding. She is intent on seeing everything right now. While walking around the garden, she wants to be facing out to see all the sights. She has a peculiar favorite way of being put to sleep. I hold her in a low slung inverse craddle style hold. I'll have to post a picture of what I mean, but in short it is a cradle hold with her on her belly.

She was talking to her great grandma in this picture as she attended her grandma C's Nordstrom All-Star award where her aunts thought they should win something for this pose.
I didn't want to share this picture, but oh well. It is not her most flattering picture.

I'm glad you share the "unflattering" pictures as well. They're all cute.
I think I understand what you mean by the inverse cradle style hold. When my son Lorenzo was an infant, I used to sometimes hold him so that his head was a little lower than his heart and he seemed to be comforted by that. Do you guys have a sling? I found the sling to be invaluable for keeping my little one comforted and close to me and helps when you're carrying baby in holds like I think you're talking about. Babywearing in a sling helped Lorenzo and I to become very close to each other on a daily basis. The sling also allows you to carry your baby longer without getting tired -- while you're strenthening your forearms up for those later toddler years. I still hold Lorenzo in sling on my hip when we go for long walks together.
I just realized that the above sounds very close to being advice. I'm sorry if it comes off like that -- just sounded like we shared a similar situation.

Jonathan and Robyn, Thank you so much for coming to the incredible meeting when I was given the "All Star" award at Nordstrom. That was so special to have my whole family there!!! In the life of Nordstrom, All Star is the ultimate award you can get as a sales person. So I was honored and humbled because "For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to God be the glory forever amen" Romans 11:36. Thank you also , for the nice comment Priscilla !
That is definitely a CUTE BABY picture of Estella in the bath . She is beautiful. I love her and loved holding her and just looking at her and watching her smile on Tuesday.
