Eat Here
Amazon has a new feature in the testing stage - restaurants (thx Jish). Check that out and then go eat at Serafina and BlueWater Bistro, a couple of our favorite local spots.

Nice Ride
The purr of the engine, the warmth of the heated black leather seats, the sunroof and the 17" rims all made for a nice ride to work in my sister's brand new Audi A4! You can go drool here, then cruise over to Barrier Audi in Bellevue and pick one up from Jennifer.

Can't Sleep, Baby Due Now
I can't sleep. The baby is due any moment. Five minutes or one week from now I could be heading for the delivery room. The certain thing is that by June 6th (or so) we'll be sporting a brand spankin' new, 2002 special addition baby. We received the first diaper service delivery today. Little - I mean LITTLE - newborn baby size diapers.
Today was truly a glorious day. The sun was out, the wind blowing through our little maple, the flowers blooming even bigger and the cats totally sacked out on the front porch. Mariners won, dinner at Gorditos, a movie (very whimsical, enjoyable) ... just the two of us.

Cats are Famous
Because of the cats it seems we've made it onto the pages of kottke.org. A fine achievement I may say, cause Kottke.org is a central hub of the weblog world. I only wished I would have shaved before the picture was taken. Oh well. I guess to get the joke, you have to look in the background at the computer monitor and see the yellow header of the Kottke.org web site.

Baby's Worldwide Debut
Baby is working hard, according to the doctor. Baby and Robyn are a little closer, progressing nicely. The due date approaches quickly! May birthday or June? I'll be sure to post some the first exclusive pictures of Little Baby here at clappstar.com, how about that?

Walking at Alki
We got to visit with parents and uncle and take a stroll on a beautiful Friday at Alki Point in West Seattle. See the walking crew. Watch out for the tough, muscle guy on the right. We had some GREAT fish and chips at this little spot. While we waited I watched part of the NBA Finals. I was so refreshing to see the Lakers Shaq get called for all his bullying fouls. He literally bulldozes people an dunks. Today I played basketball (warning this link is sometimes down because I host the page on my home computer which I occassionally shut off). Eliot got in a massive cat fight with the across the street neighbor cat. He didn't back down even though it looked like he was getting his --- kicked. I finally had to drag him away later to find a large gash out of his tail. Looks like the other cat is a dirty fighter, tail-biting!? But alas a three day weekend. Remember to remember! It is Memorial Day on Monday.

We're Waiting for You, Baby
We are down to a week and everything is going well. Robyn has done an incredible job. She still goes to aerobics and yoga and still finds time for some baby shopping.
What are we going to do with a baby!?! We are pretty well ready as far as organizing the baby room and car seat and such. Tonight we did a dry run to the hospital just to make sure we knew quickly how to get to labor and delivery, sort of the loading dock of a hospital.

Baby Crib
In just a few more days/week this is going to be occupied by a very cute little baby. Watch this space for the latest developments.

Cell-u-yeller
When you talk into cell phone do you fear they have been engineered with poor quality, low strength voice detection microphones. Are you afraid the cell phone static will drown out you voice. Don't worry, cell phones are high tech devices that pick up your voice just fine. So STOP yelling into the stupid things when you are in a public place!
Pretend you are quietly talking face to face when using a cell phone. Don't pretend your hearer is a half mile away. No shouting. One's sophistication and intelligence can readily be gauged by their behavior with a cell phone. Maybe you need some mobile phone manners. Want to hear how I feel better articulated go here..

Amazon Associates
In an effort to bolster the monthly income I have become an Associate of the biggest bookstore on earth. Here is my first attempt to add a link to a product: So Many Faces - Left Hand Smoke
How about some more? I have been a big fan of Left Hand Smoke since they started! Buy their latest album! It is really great, as are all their songs. It is a refreshingly creative and dedicated band that actually has a sense of quality.

Baby Status
The baby is still in Robyn's belly. The doctor appointment was quick and showed no real progress so we aren't nervous yet...well, I am.

Mirror Projection
Alas, I have made it again. Thankfully their standards are lax. The Mirror Project has accepted three more pictures: one two three - taken with my trusty Kodak DC280 digital camera (an incredibly generous wedding present). In a little under two years I have taken 2000+ pictures! I highly recommend a digital camera if you are into photography...there is no cost to take pictures and you can preview the image and adjust to capture the image you want, no waiting for developing to see the picture. However, I am a bit behind on getting images printed out through online photo services like ofoto.

Chickens, Races, and Soccer
A couple pictures from an event filled 24 hours in Bellingham:
It started at 8pm with a district track race 3200m! Next morning at 5am the chickenman woke me up.

Later we watched the Junior Ski to Sea where there was a mountain biking race warm-up and racing. Finally after the sun popped out for ten minutes a little bit of soccer: kick 1, kick 2. Ended with a smile.
