After breakfast, Estella sat and colored with markers. She brought this out to Robyn a little later. This is the first realist piece she has done. Up until now it has all been pretty abstract. She described the piece as herself on the left, dada on the right and mama in the middle with all her babies.

Lately, when I go out with the kids alone, I have been holding them both with Estella doing some walking. They are getting heavy. Between the two of them right now I think they are Estella (~32 lbs) and Blaise (23 lbs) about 55 pounds. Try carting 55 lbs around the zoo. Ouch.
So today was stroller day at the zoo.
]]> We had fun hanging out in the brown bear/otter/mountain goat exhibit. They have a heated viewing room that is a perfect stop for a snack, climb on the platforms and play on the bronze otter sculptures. It was a cold day at the zoo and most of the animals were out of view or in their indoor pens. The bear was right in his little cave which has a window viewer that puts you a foot away (through super thick glass) from a Grizzly. We saw a mouse in the orangutan's indoor exhibit scavenging food.We ended the night at Dick's Drive-In eating a yummy, though greasy dinner. On the way there Estella suggested we eat in the car. The kids mostly fight over the vanilla milk shake.

Happy Birthday, little man. You are a happy little guy. Yesterday you watched the Ravalli County Fair parade in Hamilton, Montana. You waved at everybody and tried to walk into the parade yourself.
]]> I had to keep catching you and bringing you back to the sidewalk from where you would walk away into the street again. You rode the rides at the fair with your mama and reportedly got so frustrated after she attempted to take you away from a car ride that she just had you go on it again. You smile with no teeth, but clamped gums. You wave hello to the horses and the llama who live just outside our cabin. You make sounds like a whale, high pitched inquisitive tones and declarative tones when you know what you are talking about. Kind of like Chewbacca from Star Wars.You fell asleep on my shoulder while we walked last night. Estella announced, "Blaise falling asleep!" Your giggles are wonderful. When you first see Estella in the morning you are so happy. You give your mama a kiss when I tell you to. You know to take things and give things when asked. You are very smart. I don't know why you quack all the time, you are our little duck.

Estella visited Granny, great aunties and cousins in Spokane. She was super brave with the water and learned to safely navigate the pool floating in an innertube. But how about jumping into the pool?!? She was into it, "Wanna watch this?" she would ask and motion to jump again. It was hot in Spokane, but Granny's pool kept us cool.
